Roles & permissions
Exactly what admins and members can each do.
Neuralift has two roles inside an organization. Everyone is either an admin or a member. A third column below, Neuralift, shows what Neuralift staff do on your behalf behind the scenes. This page is the canonical reference for who can do what. It’s where every “Before you begin” section in these docs points.

Members
Members are consumers of results. They see only published use cases and can fully explore segments, actions, and exports, but they can’t change data, definitions, run state, or the team.
Admins
Admins own the workspace’s setup and team: they connect data and configure delivery, and manage members and invitations. They can also see use cases while they’re still unpublished (the definition and the data dictionary), so they can shape the inputs with Neuralift; a run’s results (segments, insights, and actions) appear once the run is published. Admins do not run the segmentation pipeline themselves: creating use cases, defining the use case, preparing data and the data dictionary, starting runs, and publishing results are handled by Neuralift working with you (see below).
Neuralift
The heavy-lifting steps (creating and cloning use cases, preparing data, starting runs, and publishing results) are performed by Neuralift staff working alongside your team. Neuralift can view unpublished results so they can run and quality-check a use case before it’s published to your organization. Neuralift staff operate across organizations to deliver this service and are not members of your organization, so they don’t appear in your Settings → Users list.
Note. A few advanced capabilities (for example certain delivery methods) may be gated by feature flags on your account. If something described here isn’t visible, check with your Neuralift contact.
